Operating Systems

StarProbe is a thick client system that can be run on any Java-enabled platforms. Java is enabled in all major operating systems;

• Windows
• Apple Mac OS X

• Sun Microsystems: Solaris

• HP: HP-UX
• Silicon Graphics: IRIX
• Linux

Deployment

StarProbe supports distributed network computing architecture and can be deployed as follows;

• Stand-alone installation on workstations, personal computers and servers.
• Web-based installation using web-servers and browsers (Enterprise license).

DBMS

StarProbe can work with any relational DBMS that support the following drivers;

• JDBC drivers (Type 4 recommended).
• ODBC drivers (for Windows).

Hardware Requirement

• CPU: Recommended 1GHz or better.
• Monitor: Recommended XGA or better.
• Memory: Recommended 100MB or more.
• Hard Disk: Spaces for Java runtime (up to 30MB) plus your data size.
